The program will be supported by 3 organizations called Compagnie la Transplanisphère from Paris, Zukunst from Berlin and JTSZO from Amsterdam.
Compagnie la Transplanisphère from Paris (French partner): The company La Transplanisphère is a theatre company that often works as an artist in residence in high schools in France. Most of their projects question intercultural dialogue through artistic creation (writing, theatre, choreography). Artists, teachers and students are led to question what characterises them as individuals, their roots, their intercultural social environment in order to imagine "what we have in common" with the Other, and then to represent the Other or the Others. The Transplanisphère often works together with artists from several European companies.
Zukunst from Berlin (German partner): Zukunst e.V. consists of international artists working in the fields of theatre, dance, circus, music and graphic arts, as well as educators committed to the values of artistic and non-formal education. The Zukunst team likes to experiment with performing arts in social contexts. Zukunst participated in the project "Impro sans limite", an improv theatre project that focuses on multilingualism, misunderstandings and body language. From 10 to 17 November 2019, improv actors met in Berlin to discover and experiment with improvisation in several languages. At the end of the week, they performed the discoveries made during the project twice in front of an audience. The second and third parts of this project are planned for 2021 and will take place in Paris and Bilbao.
JTSZO from Amsterdam (Dutch partner): Youth Theater School Zuidoost, founded in 1999, stands for the personal development of young residents and offers a creative platform for these young residents of Amsterdam Southeast and the surrounding area. The fusion of many cultural perspectives that the participants and employees of the JTSZO carry within them, make the JTSZO an inclusive organization. JTSZO serves as an example for other art educational organizations. JTSZO is accessible but ambitious, and offers every student the development of his/her artistic talents and social skills. The student and their experiences are always our starting point. JTSZO creates its working methods and performances on the basis of themes that are relevant to the children, and often even initiated by them. This way, parallel to artistic development, self-awareness, one's own identity and respect for each other's individuality can also grow. Furthermore, by actively and positively informing children about peers far away and nearby, JTSZO wants to contribute to a positive and tolerant attitude towards an intercultural society.
